SOUTHERN PINES — Robert W. Prince, (Bob), age 76, of Southern Pines, passed away peacefully in his home on Aug. 21, 2014.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. Family visitation will follow.

Bob was born Dec. 14, 1937 in McColl, S.C. to the late Zeola Polston Graves and Lewis Graves. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry (Tinker) Goodman.

Bob spent a majority of his life as a butcher for A&P and later years with The Fresh Market of Southern Pines. He was also instrumental in establishing Bethesda Link, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for the youth.

He is survived by a son, Rodney W. Prince and daughter, Sharon (Prince) Atkins-Nall; grandsons Alex, Tyler, Zach and Seth; a brother, William (Billy) Graves, and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to First Health Hospice and Palliative Care of Pinehurst.
