LAURINBURG — Robin Lynn Urf Cole, 61, of Laurinburg passed away in her home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

Robin was born May 20, 1956 in Long Island, N.Y., a daughter of the late Frank Urf and Emily Schmidt Urf. She worked with Abbott Laboratories for many years and then as a dedicated supervisor for LOF/ Pilkington Glass. She was a member of the Steel Workers Union. She served as a member of New Bethel AME Zion Church. Robin was a very witty person who enjoyed cooking, traveling and riding the motorcycle with her husband.

Her greatest joys were the times she spent with her family, especially with her granddaughter, Alary.

Along with her parents, she is preceded by two brothers-in- law, John Cole and David Cole.

Robin is survived by her husband, Alexander "AC" Cole of the home; her daughters, Alexis Cole Bell (Gary McArthur Bell, Jr.) of Chester, Va. and Erica Cole (Ryan Wilson) of Miami, Fla.; son, Alexander Cole of Dallas, Texas; her special granddaughter, Alary Cara Lynn Cole Bell; brothers, Kenneth Urf (Kelly) of Fredericksburg, Va.; Christian Urf (Yvette) of New York; sister, Nancy Urf Ruland (Wyatt) of Virginia Beach, Va.

She is also survived by her in-laws, Mildred McLaurin and David, Grover Cole, Lavern Cole and Janie, Lorenzo Cole and Daphne, Jerry Cole and Dee, Katie Blackmon and Warren, Shirley Smith, Wanda Graham and Columbus, Kathleen Cole, Louella Cole, Ronald Cole and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 at New Bethel AME Zion Church officiated by Rev. Chalmers McDougald. The family will receive friends at the family home.

Memorial donations are requested to be given to New Bethel AME Zion Church, 6967 Amarillo Drive Fayetteville, NC 28314 or Cancer Treatment Center of America, 600 Celebrate Life Parkway, Newnan, GA 30265.
