LAUREL HILL — Timothy "Wayne" Campbell, 60, passed away at his home on Jan. 4, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following in Scotland Cemetery.

Wayne was born on March 23, 1954 in Scotland County, a son of the late Floyd "Red" Campbell and Myrtle Buie Campbell. He was the loving and devoted husband to the late Linda Faye Grooms Campbell. He worked in textiles and then retired from the railroad system after 30 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and working on his Mustang. He was a true family man and truly cherished time spent with his granddaughter Serria.

He is survived by his children Jason W. Campbell of Laurel Hill, and Penny Bowden and husband Tim of Walnut Cove, his brother Bernice Campbell and wife Doris of Laurel Hill, sisters Nancy Douglas and husband Allan of Laurel Hill, Betty Gorden of Laurel Hill, Jeanette Smith and husband Ralph of Winston Salem, and Gail Honeycutt of Vass, his precious granddaughter Serria Bowden and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to them for the Serria Bowden College Trust Fund.
