LAURINBURG — Loretta Mary Dougherty "Dolly" Brett, 71, passed away on March 30, 2014.

Dolly was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on July 18, 1942, daughter to the late William J. and Dorothy L. Dougherty.

She had a long distinguished career as a public manager with the New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles. She served in the Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary of Falls Township #1 and the All Saints Episcopal Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother that will truly be missed.

Surviving are her husband Lewis Brett of their home in Laurinburg, daughters Christine B. Tabora and husband Roy of Haleiwa, Hawaii and Victoria B. Weiss and husband Edward of Mocksville, and her grandchildren Remy Tabora and Raleigh Tabora.

The family is planning a graveside memorial service at a later date in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
