Alejandro Z. "Alex" Rodgriguez
Passed away peacefully on 1/13/13 at Redlands Community Hospital. He was born in Colton on 9/5/28 to Felix & Elena Rodriguez, and remained a lifelong resident. He was employed by California Portland Cement for 44 years, retiring in 1990. He served in Europe in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Ranger. He boxed for his battalion and was an avid sportsman. Alex was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Dora M. Diaz. He is survived by: Felix (Lynden), Charles, Dennis Reydom, Geraldine, Ronald (Lisa), and Carl (Stephanie); eight grandchildren: Lauren, Joseph, Gregory, Nina, Adriana, Carolyn, Matthew, Meredith, and great grandchild, Joslynn. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him. He was a hard working man who would go out of his way to help those in need. He loved people, sports, music, and old war movies. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. A viewing will be held on Thursday, 1/24/13, at 11am, Rosary at 11:30am, and Funeral mass at noon; all at Immaculate Conception, Colton. Burial will follow at Olivewood Memorial Park, Riverside.
