Denise Lenore Simanek
Age 62, of Highland California, passed away on February 26, 2013 at St. Bernadine's Medical Center of heart failure.
Denise was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 9, 1950. She graduated from Pinebush High School in 1969 and continued her education in the Air Force as a clerk. Denise met her husband working together in the Fire Dept. at March AFB and got married on January 9, 1972 until she passed away on February 26, 2013. Denise worked as a Secretary/ Attendance verifier for San Bernardino City Unified School District for 22 years, before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed reading suspense and romantic novels, was a fanatic bingo player for 26 years at San Manuel Indian Bingo and Casino. She loved listening and watching Elvis Presley. She was also actively involved in all her children's and grandchildren's activities and sports throughout their childhood. Denise is survived by husband Thomas Simanek, daughter Tammy Zuspan Simanek, son,Tommy and wife, Lori and son,Timothy Simanek, grandchildren, Ian, Aidan, Addison Simanek, William, Wyatt and Faith Zuspan, siblings, Frank Del Vecchio, Louis Del Vecchio, George Del Vecchio, JoAnne Anderson, Michael Del Vecchio and Rose Paduch, and other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, San Bernardino, CA. with funeral service to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, San Bernardino, CA with interment to follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 12:15 p.m., staging area 2.
