Francis Ludwig Spehar

Francis Ludwig Spehar

(Big Frank to his friends) passed away peacefully in his sleep early on Friday, November 8, 2013, he was 82. He was preceded in death by his Parents Frank and Louise Spehar and his loving wife, Jeanette Leone Spehar. He is survived by his son(s) Frank (Jennifer) and their daughters Jamie, Shelby and Holly, and Scott (Cathy) and their daughter Kristi. Still residing in Michigan are Frank's sisters Kathryn (Clarence) L'Huillier and Barbara (Robert) Mohar and their families.

Frank was a loving husband, father and friend who always made time for his family and those in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping and often times when asked why he and our mother didn't travel he would say "we have the richness of life and god's blessing right here at home, why would we go anywhere else?"

Moving from Michigan to California in 1953, Frank retired from Southern California Gas Company after a successful 35 year career. During retirement he spent time with wife Jeanette, tinkering in the garage and chasing down the next great deal at a local yard sale. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by those he leaves behind. We will never forget your kind heart and big smile – you were a wonderful father!

Church Service is Saturday at 11AM at Saint Wilfrid's Church 18631 Chapel Lane, Huntington Beach California 92646.

A celebration of Frank's life will immediately follow the service at 8772 Sailport Dr. Huntington Beach California 92646. Please sign the guestbook at www.presstelegram. com/obits.
