HANNAFORD, G. Thain
G. Thain Hannaford, resident of Azusa for 60 years has went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2014 at the age of 88. Born in Pasadena, son of Samuel and Jessie Hannaford. He attended school in Pasadena and John Muir College and Pasadena City College where he
enjoyed taking his pictures. Thain was a WWII
Navy Veteran. He was involved with the community as a swim coach for the Azusa Sailfish Swim Team, a booster for the Azusa High School Band and Drill Team, a member of Azusa Civitans and past Honorary Citizen of Azusa. He worked at Monrovia Nursery for 40 years enjoying his flowers. Preceded in death by his parents, Brother Bill, and son-in-law Frank D. Andersen. He leaves his children, Dana Lynn, David Thain, Lori Jean, Kenneth Allan, and Robyn Lea and their spouses. Also 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitations will be Friday, the 20th from 5:00pm to 9pm with the service on Saturday the 21st, 11:00am at White's Funeral Home in Azusa, CA. Private interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery. Rest in Peace Daddy, we will all miss you.
