Mark Robert Volpone

Mark Robert Volpone
Beloved son, Brother, Godfather, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend, Mark Robert Volpone, 50, AKA Marko, Uncle Marky, Marko Polo, and Little Eagle, soared into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, February 24th surrounded by his loving family. Born April 19, 1962, in San Bernardino California, he graduated from Aquinas High School in 1980 and shortly thereafter began his dream of working in Hollywood. He appeared in several print ads, commercials and TV shows, but along the way he found a love for fitness and personal protection training that led him to become a firearms instructor in Phoenix Arizona. He was an NRA Training Counselor and Chief Range Safety Officer, and the founder, CEO, and Director of Maricopa Tactical and The Urban Jungle-Personal Protection Training. With more than thirty years of instruction experience in law enforcement, weapons systems, self- defense tactics, and athletic fitness, he trained hundreds in the art of tactical protection and safety. Marko spent his Saturday mornings as an informative radio host on AZ Gun Radio Talk Show. He was a competitive body builder spending many hours at the gym with his brotherhood of friends- and won the Mr. Arizona bodybuilding competition in 2001. He was active in his church, Corpus Christi, and was a 4th order Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He had the utmost respect for having the opportunity to be a Knight representing the men of faith and action in the community. He loved racing cars especially his 1969 electric blue Camaro. His contagious smile could light up the sky and he was always the first to lend a hand to help others. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and traditions and made sure that anyone who came in contact with him knew it! He tried to find a "little bit of Italian" in everyone. He loved making homemade pasta with the family and the crazy "cooking" get-togethers. His love of life and good food led many a restaurant to name a dish after him…such as the "Marko Polo Breakfast Burrito!
He is survived by his father and mother, Mike and Lorraine Volpone, his brother Michael, sister Cyndie, nephew Jacob, niece Michaela, and so many loving and caring aunts, uncles and family members who thought the world of him.
A mass and celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 8th at 12:00pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 796 W 48th Street in San Bernardino. The Catholic Rosary will be recited prior to the service at 11:15 am. A reception will take place immediately following at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Hall and all are welcome. "He touched the lives of so many and has left an eternal impression on all who knew him. He fought a good fight; he kept the faith, and was a true warrior, Little Eagle."
