HARDER, Robert "Bob" Leland

Robert "Bob" Leland Harder, 81, Altadena, died February 12, 2014, of cancer at Huntington Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held
Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 pm, Villa Gardens, 842 E. Villa St., Pasadena.

Bob was born in Pittsburgh and earned two degrees in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology. He then moved to California to pursue a doctorate from Caltech. He worked as the Chief Scientist for MSC.Software for over 40 years. His hobbies included hiking and travel.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Arlene Fabian Harder, Pasadena, their four children and spouses, 11 grandchildren, and his three brothers and spouses.
