Walter Mynar


Passed away on October 15, 2013. He was 93 years old. He is survived by wife of 69 years, Pearl; his daughters, Sandra, Marcia, Anita and Donna; and six granchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He was born on December 19, 1919 to Thomas and Josephine Mynar in Cicero, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Mynar.

He served in the Army during WWII as a cook and baker with the Signal Corp. He retired from General Motors after 29 years. Walter and Pearl owned a bookstore and newsstand in North hills for 25 years. He and Pearl managed the Knights of Columbus Retirement Home in Glendale and then in Marysville, California for several years.

Walter was interred at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
