She was the youngest in a family of eight children, who almost all lived into their 90's and have passed away in chronological order.

They had one daughter, Ruth Lorraine Powell of Redlands, and two sons, Roger Emmett (deceased 1973) and Timothy Ted of La Verne.
Alice and Emmett lived in La Verne until 1983, when they moved to Upland. Emmett passed away in 1996 and Alice continued to live in their Upland home through this July, 2013, when she moved into Mission Commons Assisted Living in Redlands.
She was a homemaker, an outstanding seamstress and enjoyed creating art and crafts in a variety of media. She loved the Lord Jesus and was devoted to her Christian faith. Alice attended the Pomona First Baptist Church and was an active member of the LIFT Class, for many years, as well as an enthusiastic participant and supporter of Martene Craig's ARISE programs.
