I have been trying for so long to contact Petie, simply to share with her my memories of her as a very generous person who helped me learn to drive soon after I arrived in CalTech as a graduate student. She one time asked me to listen to a beautiful musical piece that she loved: Barber's Adagio for Strings. Every time I hear it, I recall my friendship with Petie. I have had many reminders through the years. I regret that I never was able to thank Petie for everything she taught me about grace and living. Her family must be so proud of Petie.
