Dan was born in Glendale, CA, son of Dr. Bertin E. and Katherine L. Hall. Graduated from Glendale High School in 1955. Attended UC Berkeley, graduated from UC San Francisco with a DDS degree in 1960. Dr. Hall served as a Capt., US Army Dental Corps in Korea and Ft.Wadsworth, NY. Practiced general dentistry in Oceanside, CA from 1969-92. He was on the Boards of the Oceanside Boys Club; First Lutheran Church, Vista; Bonsall School; and Zion Lutheran School, Fallbrook. A life member of the ADA, Fellow in the American and International Colleges of Dentistry. He was a voluntary faculty member of LLU School of Dentistry from 1982-1992, he then began his full time tenure there in 1995, after earning a Prosthodontic Certificate. He was an Associate Professor and Chief, Section of Removable Prosthodontics, then became Director of the International Dentist Program. In May of 2007, Dr. Hall was the recipient of the School of Dentistry's Distinguished Service Award. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Honorary Dental Society.
He was a member of the Redlands Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, Torch Club, Elks Club, Knights of the Round Table, Fortnightly Club and Trinity Episcopal Church. Dan enjoyed a myriad of hobbies, especially sailing, fishing, ham radio, woodworking, Dixieland music, astronomy and RV travel.
He is survived by wife, Carol, of nearly fifty years;sister and brother-in-law, Gretchen and Roland Rogers; daughters and sons-in-laws, Kendra and Chris Brooks; Margaret and Mark DiGiulio; Katherine and Kevin Bresnahan; grandchildren Samantha and Bridget Bresnahan; Chad and Kara Brooks. Services will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013, 3:00pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 4th and Fern Ave., Redlands. Memorial donations may be made to any Prosthodontic fund, LLUSD, contact D.J.
