Charles Souder Obituary

Charles G. "Chuck" Souder Charles G. "Chuck" Souder, age 70, passed away November 24, 2010. Born in Oklahoma City, Chuck moved to Long Beach when he was 4 years old, he graduated from Poly High School in 1958. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Marine Corps serving in Okinawa, and 4 years as an Embassy Security Guard in Europe during the 1960's. He was a longtime member of the Long Beach Rotary Club. For the past 20 years he has lived in Temple City where he served two terms as mayor and in countless other community affairs including his tireless effort portraying Santa Clause for many charitable organizations. He is survived by five children; 14 grandchildren; his mother, sister and two brothers. A Service in Celebration of Chuck's Life will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Live Oak Park Community Center, 10144 Bogue Street, Temple City. Family suggest contributions to the Kiwanis Club of Temple City, PO Box 156, Temple City, 91780. Chuck's family invites friends to leave their own personal memories in tribute to Chuck or post a photo of him they would like to share on his memorial website at Tributes.com. Stricklin Snively Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
