Alta Loma, California - Charles Wesley McKay, 79, died Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Las Vegas following a long battle with Multiple Myeloma.
He leaves behind his Wife of 37 years, Louise McKay; his son Charles McKay III and wife Karen McKay; his son Steve Wilcox and wife Lia Wilcox; daughter Cindy Hagelberg; daughter Stacey Wilcox- Burgess and husband Theo Burgess; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and many close friends and family.
Charles was born on September 1, 1933 in Shattuck Oklahoma. He was raised in Fargo, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Wesley McKay and Mildred Jackson. Charles was a 32 year resident of Alta Loma, California. He was a graduate of Southwestern Law School and was the Associate General Counsel for General Dynamics. Charles served 3 years on the Philippine Sea in the Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. McKay had a passion for traveling, vintage cars, dogs and the Colorado River. He took great pride in his family and friends and loved being on the go.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29th at 2:30PM at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California.
