Douglas Eddy Watt, 83

Douglas Eddy Watt, age 83, of Altadena, CA and South Bristol, ME, died 7:00PM,January 23, 2014 in Pasadena, CA. He was born to G. Gordon and Elizabeth Eddy Watt on March 10, 1930 in Newton (Boston), MA. He married his beloved Norma Wells Watt on August 19, 1952 and enjoyed 50 years of marriage prior to her death in 2002. Douglas is survived by his loving children: Douglas (Gloria) Watt of La Pine, OR; Karen (Rodney) Jones of Arcadia, CA; Julie (Joel) Felty of Monrovia, CA; and Gordon (Jennifer) Watt of Portland, OR. and by seven grandchildren; Keith, Chelsea, Kyle, Mariah, Bradley, Connor, and Lauren. He is also survived by Betty Martin's children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Doug is preceded in death by his brother Robert Watt of Sarasota, FL and sisters Jean Watt of Christmas Cove, ME and Eunice Blanchard of Bennington, NH.

Doug was a longtime resident of Altadena, CA where he lived since 1972. Doug grew up in Needham, MA. and received a degree in Business Economics from Bowling Green University in Ohio. Doug was proud of his military service in Korea as a First Lieutenant. Doug worked for Blue Bell Wrangler Jeans for 15+ years and lived in Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Altadena, CA; Baie d' Urfe, Quebec, Canada; Brussels, Belgium. During Doug's tenure at Wrangler Jeans he achieved the status of VP for European Operations. Doug took pride in his membership in the Tournament of Roses and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. After the death of his beloved Norma, Doug's companion, Betty Martin and he spent significant time at the Watt Family cottage in Christmas Cove, Maine where he enjoyed his boat and cavorting with his beloved Nephew Bob Blanchard.

Memorial services are to be held at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena. Date:Feb. 1st Time: 1:00pm.
