Edla C. Scharre born April 26, 1927 in Toledo Ohio, passed away in Pasadena on December 27, 2013. She is survived by her twin sister Gloria Lee, her seven children Daniel,
Gloria, Karen, Douglas, Stephen, Kamla and Kim and her 13 grandchildren, Alexander, Benjamin, Kathryn, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Erin, Sage, Aaron, Jacquelyn, Zachary, Raleigh, Andrew and Madelynn. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years William F. Scharre Jr., her sisters Virginia and Eleanor and her brother David.
Edla, a 50 year resident of Pasadena, was a loving mother and grandmother and was very active in the church and the community. She attended All Saints Episcopal church for all of her 50 years in Pasadena and was a cherished member of the choir. Edla was a realtor in Pasadena/San Marino for over 30 years, a job that brought her much joy and many good friends. She was an active volunteer with the Pacific Asia Museum, the Pasadena Museum of History, "Meals on Wheels" and PTA as well as many other organizations through her membership in the Pasadena Board of Realtors.
She was a generous and giving woman whose absence will be felt by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church 132 N Euclid Ave., Pasadena on Saturday January 18th at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to All Saints Church designated to the music department.
