Elaine Marie Wilson, 75, of Glendora, California, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2014.
She was born in Medford, Massachusetts on February 21, 1938 to parents Thomas Luddy and Stella Lougee. Raised in rural New Hampshire, Elaine graduated from Sanborn Seminary in 1956. She married in 1958 and crossed the country with her family several times before settling down in Glendora with her beloved husband George "Al" Wilson in November of 1981.
A loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Elaine also forged lifelong friendships with her sister Tippy and coworker Maryanne. Elaine loved to laugh, loved Neil Diamond, and was devoted to her family above all else. After the tragic death of her daughter Linda and son-in-law Miles Pierce in 1983, Elaine, alongside her husband Al, put aside her grief and selflessly and lovingly raised her grandchildren for the next 18 years.
Elaine is survived by her husband George "AL" Wilson, sons James and Gary King, stepson Ryan Wilson, and grandchildren Nichole and Jason Pierce. She will be greatly missed.
A small gathering will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California on February 13, 2014 at 11 AM.
