GAGLIA, Eugene K.

Eugene (Gene) K. Gaglia, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday January 4, 2013 while at his home surrounded by his family. Gene was born in New Brunswick, NJ in 1936. He grew up in Bound Brook, NJ where he attended Bound Brook High. After graduation, he enlisted in the army and was stationed in Germany. After the army, he went on to graduate from Lincoln Tech Electrical School.
In 1958, Gene was married and moved to California to pursue a career with General Electric. In the early 1960's, Gene and his business partners set out to develop their own company, Mag-Trol, an electrical distribution company, which became his life's work.
Gene retired in 2001 and spent his retirement years enjoying his wood working and gardening passions.
Gene is survived by his wife of 54 years Marie; brothers, Sal Gaglia and Mickey Gaglia; sister, Delores Ceresa; children Donna Sears, Edward Gaglia and Eugene Gaglia Jr.; son-in-law, David Sears; daughter- in-law, Susan Gaglia; grandchildren Christopher, Lauren, Ryan, Alyssa, Trevor and Ava and six nieces and nephews. Gene is preceded in death by his parents Salvatore and Adeline Gaglia; his brother, Anthony Gaglia and his niece: Lori Harris.
A celebration of life mass will be held on Saturday January 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Habra followed by a reception luncheon.
Husband, dad, grandpa, employer, brother, son, uncle and friend, he was loved and will be missed by all.
