John A. Harmon
86, of San Bernardino, CA passed away on Nov. 16, 2013 in Santa Maria, CA. He was born June 10, 1927 in Newkirk, OK to Elmer L. and Margrett Harmon. He graduated from St. Bernardine's High School in 1945 and then joined the Navy. He owned his own business Harmon Office Interiors and
Supplies for 25 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, football, playing cards and going to the Elks. He was a very generous, kind-hearted man. He left a positive impression on anyone he would meet. His smile could light up a room and he had a great sense of humor. He was a great friend. His life was truly a gift to all of us. He will forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife Neva, his daughter Kathy Jaurigue, his son-in-law Steve Jaurigue, his daughter Deborah King, his step-daughter Denise Allen and her husband Jay, his step-daughter Shelley Gray and step son Dave Barlet, his granddaughter Marisa Maquinalez, his granddaughter Kathryn Alexander and her husband Roy, his grandson Mark Jaurigue, five great-grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tom, his sister Florence, his step-son Greg Shaw, his great- grandson Alex Davila, and his granddaughter Christi Davila.
A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veteran's Administration, 1550 East Main Street, Santa Maria, CA 93454.
