MARTELLE, Kim "Marty"
Kim "Marty" Martelle of Covina, Ca. passed away at his home on October 11, 2013. He was 66 years old. A devoted family man, he is survived by his wife Donna, two sons, Eric & Jason, three grandchildren, Tommy, Kymberly & Charlotte, along with sisters Jeanette & Paula.
Kim was born in Pontiac, Michigan in 1947. He was
honorably discharged after Viet Nam, serving onboard the USS Constellation, where he was awarded several medals and citations. His civilian life included a career in computer aided drafting with top companies in the aerospace industry and teaching computer aided design at Citrus College.
An avid automobile restorer he was a long time member of the Forever Classics car club in Covina, where he displayed his antique Chevy's and was always willing to share and help anyone through his knowledge of classic cars. Kim also volunteered at Northview Little league where his boys played as children and was recognized there for his efforts and contributions to the community. In his youth he earned the level of Past Master Counselor of the Masonic youth organization, DeMolay.
Memorial service will be held at Oakdale Memorial Park Mortuary, in Glendora, Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 am. His ashes will be spread at sea by the US Navy.
