Dr. Laurence Ray Rollins, DDS
82, of Redlands, entered eternal life on February 11, 2014
Ray was born July 18, 1931 in Charleston, West Virginia. He attended the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and graduated in 1956. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a dentist for 4 years. In 1960 he moved to Yucaipa and started his dental practice, while remaining an active reservist in the U.S. Navy until 1990 when he retired at the rank of Captain. In 1944 Ray retired from his dental practice to fully enjoy his passions of family, fishing, wine making and chili cook-offs.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Vicki Rollins; his four children, Kim Dominiguez, Sandi Ketchpel, Laurence Rollins and Katie Esqueda and four grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends who love him dearly.
He was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church, Yucaipa, CA, where his memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Please join his family to celebrate and honor his life. Faith Lutheran Church is located at 12449 California Street, Yucaipa, CA. Private interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery.
