Margaret M. (Peggy) Griffith
March 4, 1922 ~ February 15, 2013
Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on February 15, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Phoenix, AZ whilevisiting. She was born March 4, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA to Hubert B. Jacon and Anna B. Wehner Jacob, Peggy was the third of ten children. When WWII broke out Peggy enlisted in the Navy in thei nursing program. She was stationed in San Diego, CA. Where she met her future husband Roy M. Griffith Sr. They were married September 1944. They came to Chino in 1945 and purchased what would becomeGriffith Mortuary. Which they operated until 1987, when they retired. Roy Sr passed away June 2004.
Peggy is survived by 5 children, Babs Everett (Glen), Sally Bradshaw (Don), Geri Schaffer (John), Liz Stewart (Ron), and Roy M. Griffith Jr. (Cathy Conway), 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Her brother John (Jack) Jacob, sisters Adele Bevans and Joel Megill. Several nieces and nephews and great nephews and great nieces.
Funeral services: will be Visitation Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Todd Memorial Chapel, 507 N. Garey Ave, Pomona, from 5-8 pm. Funeral Mass Friday, February 21, 2013 at San Secundo Dasti Catholic Church, Gusati, CA ay 10 am. Burial will bw at Pierce Bros Crestlawn Memorial Park, Riverside, CA.
