Has gone to be with our Lord on August 2, 2012 due to natural causes. He was born on October 12, 1926 in Blythe, California. He was the first born son of Gregorio and Francesca Rodriguez and was raised in Colton, California with his eight younger siblings. He served his country in the US Army during World War II and returned to Colton where he met Delia Alcaraz and they were married on November 2, 1947. He went to work for Kaiser Steel in 1948 as a forklift operator in the Masonry Department until he retired in 1980. The couple settled in Fontana, California where they raised their family of 7 children, Pauline, Robert, Gloria, Jenny, Steve, Max Jr., and John. He has 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fontana and was a member of the Mexican American Golf Association. His wife, Delia, passed away on April 20, 2006 and son, Robert, passed away on October 2, 1997. Visitation will be held at Colton Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m. Church services will be held at San Salvador Church in Colton on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Following mass, burial services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
