Robert Melling Obituary

In Loving Memory of Robert Bernhard Melling Aug. 22, 1928- Dec. 10, 2010 This amazing father and grandfather moved on to other opportunities on December 10, 2010. Born in Buffalo, NY, he worked for his father's ice and coal company before he joined the navy in 1946 where he developed a love for photography. In 1948 he left the navy with aspirations to start a career in photography but was swayed by his love for acting. He performed at the famed Pasadena Plyhouse wit the "Pasadena Players" when he met his wife Beverly. At this time he began to start a family and work full time at the post office. He was a part time photographer at the time as well which led him to eventually being Ronald Reagans personal photographer in his 1966 campaign for governor of California. This man was amazing, he gave more love to his family than could ever be described in words. We miss you dearly, you will always be in our hearts and minds, it would be impossible for you not to be. We love you! Preceded in death by his two brothers and sister. Survived by his wife Beverly, daughter Denise, son Dennis, grandsons David and Daniel, granddaughter Bernice, and his great grandchildren Andrew and Victoria.
