Robert F. Hazelzet
Robert was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on January 20, 1932 and passed away on November 16, 2013. He immigrated with his wife Henny and 3 children, to the United states via Canada in 1963. He was always known for his loving and caring heart, and wonderful smile. Robert loved working in the garden and growing his beautiful dahlias. He was very involved in the community including the Boy Scouts, fundraising for The YMCA Camp Oaks and his beloved Holy Innocents Church. He was in the restaurant business for 35 years and owned Mr. Robert's Restaurant from 1977-1987. He was preceded in death by their son, Cameron. He is survived by his wife Henny of 59 years (on December 1); their children Guy (Mary) and Jackie Macias (Larry); 3 grandchildren, Cory, Catherine, and Alysia; his brothers, Jack and Ardo. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to www.CarmeliteSistersocd.com/gifts-in-memoriam. Gathering on Thursday, November 21 from 5:30-8pm with Rosary at 6:30pm at All Souls Mortuary. Memorial Mass on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11 am at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 425 E. 20th St., Long Beach CA 90806
