Roberto "Bob/Bear' Velasquez
Passed away peacefully on January 31, 2013. He was born and raised in Colton, CA and was the oldest son of Thomas and Jessie Velasquez who preceded him in death also with his brother Freddy and sister Lucy. Roberto is survived by his sister Lillian Lopez, and his wife of 51 yrs. Mary L Velasquez, son Robert, daughters Kathryn and Cynthia. Roberto is also survived by his 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Bob, as many knew him was a 1st lieutenant in the Army Reserve, an accomplished musician, businessman, educator and a loving father and Grandfather. Bob held many strong ties to his family and to the surrounding communities. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Services will be held on Feb. 11th 2013 @ Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church 12745 Oriole Ave. Grand Terrace, CA 92313, Viewing at 10:00 am, Rosary at 10:30 am and at Mass at 11:00 am. Burial and Graveside service at Montecito Memorial Park 3520 E. Washington St. Colton, CA 92324. In lieu of flowers please donate to the
