STANLEY SPLAWNICK
1934-2012
The family of Stanley Splawnick are saddened to announce his passing on May 1, 2012 in San Bernardino, CA. Stan was born in Thunder Bay (Port Arthur). He learned to love hockey and baseball on the outdoor rinks and ball diamonds of the West End. As a young man he moved to Southern California. He enjoyed many years with Sears, winning many sales awards and gaining many lifetime friends. Stan made his home in San Bernardino. Stan is survived by a sister Rose Valigrosky of Thunder Bay, stepchildren Barb and Craig Le Mere of Highland, CA, nieces Holly (Randall) Johns and Patricia Kozak, all of Thunder bay. Stan was a favourite and much loved great uncle to Adam and Jacqueline Johns and Kerri and Alexandra Kozak. Also surviving are many cousins and friends. Stan was predeceased by his parents George and Anne Splawnick, first wife Margarite (Dolly) and second wife Shirley and by brother-in-law Michael Valigrosky. Cremation has taken place and a memoriam and a private internment will be at a later date. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Stanley to the Arthritis Society would be greatly appreciated.
