Steven Alan Sagehorn February 16, 1948 - August 2, 2011 Steven passed away after a year and a half battle with cancer. He was born in San Diego, California and grew up in Long Beach, California with his parents, Dr. Eldor Sagehorn, Jr. and Alberta Sagehorn Burson and his three brothers, Robert (Marilyn), Tom (Cheri) and John. He had many lifelong friends from his years at Tincher Elementary, Hill Jr. High and Wilson High School where he was known to his friends as 'Sage' and was a talented basketball player and artist. He played basketball at the University of Arizona and graduated from CSULB, and earned his master's there as well. He taught in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 37 years and had recently retired. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Keren; daughter, Joelle; daughter and son-in-law, Jenna and Brian Taliaferro; grandchildren, Samantha, Molly, 2-week-old namesake, Landon Sage; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as, his beloved East Side Boys (ESB).
