WILLIAM KLAUSNER Obituary

DR. WILLIAM J. KLAUSNER On Sunday, September 12, 2010, at the age of 94, Dr. William J. Klausner passed away at his home surrounded by his family. Bill is survived by his wife of 69 years, the love of his life, Thelma; his son, William Klausner Jr. of Hayward; his daughter, Kathryn Cencirulo (Roy) of Redlands; and Grandchildren, Jennifer Munoz (Matt) and Jason Cencirulo. Bill was born in Neenah, Wisconsin, on August 19, 1916. After leaving Neenah, Bill attended the University of Redlands, where he met his wife, Thelma, and graduated in 1941. After the University of Redlands, Bill served in the Army for four years during WWII. After his time in the Army, Bill went back to school and attended USC graduate school and received his Ph.D in Sociology in 1953. Bill returned to the University of Redlands as a professor of Sociology, retiring as the Dean of the Social Sciences Department in 1979. Bill was an avid golfer and was a long standing member of the Redlands Country Club, serving as Club President in 1985. Friends and family will miss his great sense of humor and wit, tremendous love for his wife and family, and his eternal desire to educate. At his request there will be no services.
