Obituary Condolences

KELLY-Betty Kelly, went home to be with her Lord on January 10, 2011 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Kennewick, Washington. A longtime resident of Pasadena and Arcadia, she was born Betty Louise Beale on February 23, 1918 to Richard and Eva Beale in Seattle, WA. She moved with her family to Pasadena when she was three years old. She attended Pasadena schools and graduated from Pasadena High School and Pasadena Junior College. She worked before being married as a stenographer. In the spring of 1943 she traveled to Hartford, CT to join her fiance, Leroy "Bruce" Kelly where they were married on May 1, 1943. Following his deployment in 1944 she returned to Pasadena where she was later joined by her husband after the war. She was devoted to her husband and children and continued to live in Pasadena where they raised two children. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard, and husband Bruce. She is survived by her sister, Carole Merrell of Santa Maria, CA., daughter Cynthia Kelly of Pasadena, CA., son and daughter-in-law Wallace and Roxanne Kelly of Kennewick, WA., granddaughter and her husband Wendy Kelly and Derrick Pflibsen of Atlanta, GA., grandson and his wife Eric and Svetlana Kelly of Schriesheim, Germany, great-granddaughters Maria and Ekaterina Kelly, also of Schriesheim.
