FORBES, Peggy Corwin
Peggy Corwin Forbes of Monrovia, Ca died on the evening of December 8, 2012 while at Arcadia Methodist Hospital after
spending 6 days in critical care. She was born in Hemet, Ca on August 31, 1948 to Wilbur "Webb" and Frances Saph Corwin.
She married Dr. James Franklin Forbes II on July 22, 1978 in Tustin, Ca and is survived by him, one daughter Annisa (and Joseph Boehm) of Glendora, Ca.; one son William "Billy" of Monrovia, Ca.; two stepdaughters, Tanya of Huntington Beach, Ca., and Sonia of Temple City, Ca.; two step-granddaughters Marissa and Heather of Temple City, Ca., one brother William "Bill" Corwin of Hemet, Ca.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, one brother and one sister.
She grew up in Hemet, Ca and graduated from Hemet High School in 1966. She then attended dental assisting school at San Diego Mesa. Peggy was an active member of The Quarter Benders Car Club and raced her 1969 Camaro.
She had a great love for children and "fostered/adopted" several additional children and grandchildren over the years. She volunteered as a secretary for two local churches, as a reading aid at Santa Fe Middle School, and as a bowling coach for Turtle Bowl youth league. In 2008 she and her husband traveled to South Africa with a missionary organization, African Enterprise, doing an outreach to the underprivileged children of the continent. She loved to travel and took several cruises with her family over the years. Her overwhelming love and strong personality will be missed.
A memorial service will be held Sunday January 6, 2013 at 2pm at the First Presbyterian Church Monrovia, 101 East Foothill Blvd, Monrovia. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to the Boys & Girls Club of Monrovia.
