85, of Upland, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 30, 1927, to Lorenzo and Josephine Graceffo. Gertie married Joseph Stravarace in 1948. In 1963 they moved to California. Gertie was a manicurist and she and her sister, Jennie, owned a dress shop called Foxi Fashions. Her greatest passion was The Lord and she taught Catechism to first graders at St. Joseph's Church in Upland. She prayed the rosary daily and never missed mass. In later years, she enjoyed cruises with her companion, Myron Havens. She was a beloved Auntie and loved, worshiped, and adored her darlings. She is survived by her brother-in-law; Nathan Cardilino, three nieces; JoAnn (Mark) Freese, Anna (Mark) Fox, and Toni Cassani, great nephews; Jonathan, Joseph and Joey, great nieces; Natalie, Jennifer, Amanda, Cara, and Jenna and a great-great nephew; Jackson. Gertie's life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Friday, February 1st, 2013 at Draper Mortuary, internment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Mausoleum.
