Juan Francisco Mata Sr.
Juan F. Mata Sr. was born in Gregory, Texas on October 10, 1932. He was born to parents Maximino and Guadalupe Mata. Juan peacefully went to the Lord on January 31, 2013, surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Maria C. Mata. Four children Tina (Felipe) Mata; Pomona; Juan (Janie) F. Mata Jr; Pomona; Mike (Leticia) Mata; Rialto and Debbie (Art) Ursua; Rancho Cucamonga. Juan is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, one brother and five sisters. Juan moved to California in 1964 and worked in the grocery industry until his retirement in 1994 from Stater Bros. Market. Juan was active with the UFCW Local 1428 retirees and served as a board member for many years. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Todd Memorial Chapel 570 N. Garey Ave. Pomona CA 91767.
