HANKS, Frances Anne (Nancy)
Beloved Mother and Grandmother
Frances Anne (Nancy) Hanks, 75, of Glendora, California passed away peacefully on February 6th 2013, a result of complications from her long battle with cancer. She was born in Chicago on November 17th 1937.
In retirement she became a Benedictine Oblate. She served on the Guild at St. Lucy's Priory in Glendora, volunteered at the library, and was deeply devoted to many Catholic charities, including the three beloved children she sponsored and corresponded with in Kenya. She enjoyed traveling and cherished spending time with her family, especially the yearly summer vacations.
Nancy is survived by her Brother Michael Clark-Dreibus (Lisa), her sons Patrick (Patricia), Andrew, David (Christy), Michael (Elizabeth), her 8 grandchildren and a step-grandchild. Nancy is preceded in death by her brother Russell Dreibus, and her parents Russell and Anne Dreibus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to ABCC Foundation, 203 N. Lone Hill Avenue, Glendora, CA 91741.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, March 1 at 2pm at Holy Name of Mary, San Dimas. Reception will follow at St. Lucy's Priory, Glendora.
