98, of Alta Loma passed away February 19, 2013 at Kaiser Hospital Ontario. He was born March 10, 1914 in Keytesville, MO and lived in Alta Loma 53 years. Archie was a citrus grower for 53 years & was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran during WWII, received two Bronze Stars. He loved writing letters to the Editor of the Daily Bulletin, studying the Bible his entire life and working on his grove which he fondly named "The Wilson Ranch". Archie was a former Cub Scout Master, Old Baldy Council, Pomona, CA; member of the Disabled American Veterans; International Ministerial Federation; Pastor at Monmouth, IL 1946-49, Vice-President of Monmouth Ministerial Association; former member of Pomona Valley Indian Affairs Association, Claremont, CA; former President of Alta Loma Mutual Water District. He assisted Dr. Henry Hedricks, founder of the Southwest Indian Affairs Association, Los Angeles in work on the Navajo reservation at St. Mary's Station, AZ. In 1957 the conversion of a Navajo medicine man, (unheard of at any time before), was the epitome of his ministry. Archie is survived by his son - Jon (Lynette) Wilson, Rancho Cucamonga; 1 sister - Helen Riley, Dayton, OH; 1 granddaughter - Lindsey Wilson, Coeur d'Alene, ID. Archie was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. Wilson on June 11, 2011.Visitation will be 11:00AM - 12:00 PM Thursday (03/07/13) at Stone Funeral Home.
