Gregory Kenneth Baugh
Born July 24, 1963, passed away peacefully February 9, 2014. He graduated from Redlands High School before receiving a B.A. and M.P.A. from California State University, San Bernardino. He was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and the California Peace Officers Foundation. In 1988, he began working with the State of California Youth Authority. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Azusa Pacific University and the University of Phoenix. In 2013, he retired from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Greg believed that through his work, every day was an opportunity to improve young lives and restore the community through effective community and faith-based programs. He served his community as a Basketball Coach at the YMCA of Redlands. As a member of the Ecclesia Christian Fellowship Church, he volunteered with the Video Ministry and was Co-coordinator of the Young Men's Retreat Summer Camp program. Greg received the "Providing Help, Creating Hope" Award from Catholic Charities and the Salt and Light Award from the Second Baptist Church of Redlands for his tireless work with youth. Gregory was married to his high school sweetheart, Carlena, for 29 years. He is also survived by his children Sheree, Jennifer and Kenneth, his parents Willie J. and Pearlie J. Baugh, seven siblings and many nieces and nephews. Greg's Homegoing Service will be Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Ecclesia Christian Fellowship, 1314 Date St., San Bernardino.
