Phyllis Katherine Gorden, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gorden, was lost to her family on Jan. 1, 2013. She was born Oct. 10, 1938. Originally from Forest Park, Ill., Phyllis was a longtime resident of Albuquerque and Las Cruces, N.M. Always an entrepreneur, her homemade vinegars and other crafts were well known to the local community. Phyllis is survived by her brother Thomas Pender of Forest Park, her children Jeffrey, Rebecca and Mark, and proudly shared in lives of Thomas Gorden's seven children. Phyllis will be missed by her 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Goggy". At the request of Phyllis, funeral services will be a private family event, and donations to a charity of choice are requested in her name in lieu of flowers.
