Rodrigo Lunares Obituary

Rodrigo H. Lunares, 46, of Las Cruces, N.M., entered eternal life Friday, March 1, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a short battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 11, 1966, in Lancaster, Calif., to Esteban R. and Felisitas Lunares. He was a tattoo artist who also enjoyed woodcrafting and woodburning. He also liked spending time with his nieces and nephews. Those left to mourn his passing include his mother, Felisitas Lunares, and two sisters, Yolanda and Elena Lunares, all of Las Cruces; three brothers, Joe Hinojos of San Antonio, Elias Hernandez of Artesia, and Mike Lunares of Las Cruces; nephews Nacario, Benjamin, Elias and Michael; great-nephews Nehemiah Esteban, Michael Jr., and baby Leo; nieces Alejandria, Julia, Delicia, Victoria, Delia, Leticia, Amanda and April, and great-nieces Avabella and Isabella; and his girlfriend, Kimberly Gonzales, as well as his pitbull, Alakai. He is preceded in death by his father, one brother, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. At his request, cremation has taken place. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
