Hatch was their life-long residence where she spent many hours in her flower gardens. She would plant a seed anywhere there was bare ground. Betty was an avid gardener and would often say she was at peace in her garden talking with God. She also spent many enjoyable hours teaching her grandchildren to sew and cook and was a mentor to many who crossed her path. Rarely was there a task she wouldn't tackle. She was a member of Home Extension, Garden Club, Farm Bureau, Red Hat Ladies and volunteered her talents for any occasion when needed. Betty spent many years helping her children, grandchildren and community kids with their 4-H and FFA projects and attending state and county fairs and livestock shows. In addition to her organizations she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.
