Edward Mark Henry, 80, of Las Cruces, N.M., died on June 18, 2013, at Heritage Assisted Living after a long illness. He was born in Santa Fe, N.M., on June 16, 1933 to Vivian R. Romero and Harper Beach Henry. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bryant Henry; his daughter, Laura Hughes (Dave) of Longmont, Colo.; his son, Mark Henry (Rosanna Chavez) of Albuquerque, N.M.; his granddaughter, Alyssa Hughes of Ankeny, Iowa;, cousins; and by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Virginia Bryant of Tallahassee, Fla., to whom he was especially close. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ed moved to Las Cruces in 1952 to attend NMSU, where he received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He married Joyce Bryant in 1959 and worked at WSMR for TRADOC Analysis Center for 33 years as an operations research analyst. He retired in 1988. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes, and a gathering of friends and family will take place on Sunday afternoon from 2 – 4 p.m. at Palacio's, 2600 Avenida de Mesilla (Hwy. 28) in his honor.
