Our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and great friend, Jesus A. Fierro, 76 of Doña Ana entered eternal life Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 10, 1936 in Las Cruces in the area of "Chiva Town" and was a member of the Payure group. Jesus worked for the city of Las Cruces as a general foreman for the street department and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Senaida Martinez Fierro of the family home; two sons, Jesus Fierro, Jr., and wife Marcy, Raymond M. Fierro and wife Nancie; three daughters, JoAnn Fierro, Sandra F. Giron, and Jessica Sanchez and husband Mike. Other survivors include two brothers, Joe Fierro of El Paso, Texas and Lupe Bibanco of Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Missy Frausto and husband Art, Eric Galloway and wife Shelli Kelly, Sonny L. Fierro and wife Angelica, Vanessa N. Fierro, Andrew A. Fierro, Ray A. Giron Jr., and wife Crystal Jones, Estevan Giron, Alexander Giron Jr., and wife Vonnette Hagen, Bryana N. Fierro, Derek A. Fierro, and Raymond A. Fierro Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Chano Bibanco and Paul Fierro. Visitation for Mr. Fierro will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Purification Catholic Church, 5525 Cristo Rey in Doña Ana where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. The funeral liturgy will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 in the same church with the Rev. Miguel Macaya, celebrant. The rite of committal and interment will follow in Doña Ana Cemetery with military honors accorded by the New Mexico National Guard Honor Guard and the Marine Corps League El- Perro Diablo Detachment. Serving as casket bearers will be Jessie Villegas, Sonny L. Fierro, Ray A. Giron Jr., Alexander I. Giron Jr., Raymond A. Fierro Jr., and Derek A. Fierro.
