Marina Benavidez

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce of the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marina Moralez Benavidez, 80, of Orlando, Fla. and formerly of Anthony on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 in Orlando. She was born Jan. 14, 1932 in Anthony to Catarino and Rosaura Cordero Moralez. Mrs. Benavidez retired from the Hanes Corporation after 32 years of service and was a member of the Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving children, Orlando Moralez of Anthony; and Marcella Benavidez of Orlando; her beloved brothers, Catarino, Fernando, Ezequiel and Fidel Moralez; her adored sisters, Esperanza Garcia, Rosaura Garcia and Lupe Baca; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Ruiz, Misty Moralez and René Benavidez and five adored great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, René, Roland and Ruben Benavidez; three brothers, Armando, Manuel and Ricardo Moralez and a sister, Blanca Lara. Visitation for Mrs. Benavidez will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Ave. where the prayer vigil is scheduled for 6 p.m. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.
