Omar Martin Saucedo, 29, formerly of Las Cruces, N.M., passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. He was born March 15, 1984 in Las Cruces, N.M. to Henry Saucedo and Rosa Aguero. He graduated from NMYCA, where he was named cadet of month. He received numerous awards for his athletic achievements in baseball. He was a Water Damage Restoration Technician for Service Master, in Tyler, Texas. He also helped his uncles in their work. His hobbies included baseball, attending concerts and spending time with his family and dog, Apollo. Omar recently found peace with God and had been devout in his religious practices. Omar's positive attitude and laughter was always a hit in any room. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Omar wanted our Family to show more love to each other more than anything in the world. He had the heaviest hands. When he was five years old he used to turn on the water hose at grandpas house, grandpa would tighten it up as much as possible. Omar would still manage to open it up and make a mess everywhere. Later on he learned how to throw a ninety mile an hour heavy ball. One time he coached his younger brother's baseball team and inspected everyone's baseball glove and laughed. He played catch with every player until he broke everyone's glove. The last glove he broke thumped Julio on the chest really hard. Everyone laughed as boys will be boys. Omar's passion for baseball was evident in every game he played. Omar never gave up on his dream to play professional baseball. The last couple of months of his life he spent his time running and doing countless pushups, sometimes from early morning until late at night. He spent many quality hours with his father at work, at the baseball fields and just hanging out together. Anybody who knew Omar through baseball please join his family in celebrating his life. Survivors include his grandparents Candelario and Eulalia Saucedo, and Esparanza Rodriguez as well as his parents Henry Saucedo and Rosa Aguero; He is survived by his two younger brothers, Louie, with whom he loved playing baseball, (Rachel) and Karlos Saucedo, a large loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
