Porfiria Andazola, 80, a resident of Silver City, N.M., entered eternal rest Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Gila, N.M., to Apolonio and Antonia Trujillo Gonzalez. She is survived by one son, Miguel "Mike" Andazola Jr. of Chino, Calif.; three daughters, Sally Garcia of Albuquerque; Patsy Carrasco and husband, Abel, of Silver City; Elsie Andazola of Silver City; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Apolonio Gonzalez and wife, Lydia, of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Carolina Chavez of Azuza, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Miguel Andazola (2011). Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, from 5-6 p.m., with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 6 p.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated Monday, March 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rod Nichols officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timothy and Miguel III Andazola, Marty Garcia Jr., Fabian Garcia, Alex and Ray Leyba.
