Randy Rubio

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father, uncle and grandson, Randy "Bean" L. Rubio, 27, a lifelong resident of Las Cruces, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. "Bean" as he was fondly known to family and friends was born April 20, 1987, to Ramon Manuel and Maria Martinez Rubio. At the time of his death, Bean was employed at Local Union 412 as a plumber and pipefitter. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing include his loving wife of eight years, Josie Maria Cordero Rubio, of the family home; his mother, Maria Giron and husband, Albert, all of Las Cruces; father Ramon M. Rubio Sr. of Los Alamos; three beautiful children, Breanna Maria Rubio, Angel Marie Gonzalez and Jose Luis Gonzalez; two brothers, Ramon Rubio Jr. and wife, Christina, Richard Adam Rubio and companion, Desiree Montes, all of Las Cruces. Other survivors include his maternal grandparents, Jose and Maria Juana Martinez; the Cordero family; four nephews, Rocco, Bryce, Brayden, and Illijeh; one niece, Hennessy, and a great-niece, Chardonay, as well as numerous, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation for Bean will begin at 10 a.m Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Baca's Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. The rite of committal and interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 100 N. Espina St., where he will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Ramon Rubio Jr., Richard Adam Rubio, Albert Giron, Florencio Martinez, Ramon Rubio Sr., Emiliano F. Martinez, Alfredo Martinez and Gregory Villegas. Honorary bearers will be Angel Marie Gonzalez, Jose Luis Gonzalez and Miguel Lizalde. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels of Las Cruces 527-2222.
