Reyes Pérez

Reyes F Pérez known to family as "Junie Boy", age 28, passed away in Las Cruces N.M. at Memorial Medical Center on April 11, 2013. He was born to Guillermo Leon Pérez Tamayo of Medellin Colombia, South America and Cristina Luna of Las Cruces, N.M. on Oct. 28, 1984 in Phoenix, Ariz. Junie was raised in Las Cruces, N.M.. He was set to complete his Bachelors in Business Management and Hospitality at NMSU this spring. He was awarded the Crimson Scholar award in 2010 and every year thereafter. Junie was married to Audrey Gomez of Las Cruces, N.M. and had four children, Daeja Rae Pérez, Amaya D'Nae Pérez, Reyes Francisco Pérez II, and Xavier Marciano Pérez all of Las Cruces,N.M. Junie enjoyed writing and composing music, reading, riding his motorcycle and he had a passion for cooking. Those who knew him were taken by his laughter, humor, charm, free spirit, brains and charismatic personality. His children were his pride and Joy and his love for them was unconditional. He prided himself at making everyone smile even at the hardest of times. Survived by his parents Guillermo and Cristina Pérez, sister Cristina Pérez and daughters Rebekah Elisa and Marina Alexia; brother Kino and wife April Pérez, children Kinito, Simba, Cris, and Anakin Pérez; sister Carlina Elisa and husband Carlos Espino and children Carlos Santiago Chavez, Elias and Carlisse Espino; brother Pablo Pérez, girlfriend Chrystal Carmona and son Zayden Pablo Pérez: brother Jamie Pérez and girlfriend Yadira Pérez all of Las Cruces, NM. Also brother Javier Alejandro Pérez and family, Luz Elena Pérez and family of Venezuela, South America. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by: nephew Kino Leon Pérez (2002), maternal grandmother Elisa Angel (1998) and paternal grandmother Carlina Tamayo Pérez (2012). Visitation for Reyes "Junie Boy" will be held from 6-7pm at La Paz-Graham's Funeral Home Chapel, 555 W. Amador Ave. on Monday, April 15, 2013, a prayer vigil will follow at 7pm conducted by family member Juanita Angel. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral Church,1240 S. Espina, to begin at 11:00am with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery on South Espina Ave. Officiating the service will be Father Martin Cornejo of Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral. Serving as casket bearers will be Cristina Pérez, Kino Pérez, Carlina Pérez Espino, Pablo Pérez, Jaime Pérez and Patrick Molina.
