Walter Lindley

Walter. E. Lindley, 81, of Silver City and Mimbres, N.M. passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012. He was born in Emo, Ontario, Canada on June 7, 1931 and was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Alice Justice-Lindley, father, LeRoy Pancock Lindley and brother Richard Lindley. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nona Lindley, sons Mike Lindley, of Silver City, and Kim, Mark Lindley, of Las Cruces and Kathleen, and Matt Lindley, of Deming, and Laurie and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Walt enjoyed a full life and loved being outside in the wilderness as an avid shooter and hunter. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and worked for several companies in the Silver City area, including Fowler Lumber, the U.S. Forest Service, and 29 years at the Chino Mine working for Kennecott/Phelps Dodge as a dozer operator.
