William Saggerson Jr.

Our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, William Henry Saggerson, Jr., age 69, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Sunday, June 1, 2014 at his home. "Bill", as he was fondly known to family and friends was born December 1, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island to William Henry, Sr. and Grace Emily Cook Saggerson. He retired from New Mexico State University as Chief Engineer at KRWG, and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. Those left to mourn his passing include his son, Sean Michael Saggerson and wife Angela of Peoria, AZ; a daughter, Amy Aduskevich and husband, James of Las Cruces; three brothers, Frank Saggerson, also of Las Cruces, Russell Saggerson and wife Beverly of Minnesota and Richard Saggerson and wife Barbara of Seattle, WA; six sisters, Judy Pransky of Vermont, Carol Swanson and husband Neil of Rhode Island, Mary Porras and husband Saul of Las Cruces, Bertha Saggerson and husband Timothy of Texas, Shirley Houston of Vermont and Estella Sanchez and husband David also of Las Cruces. Other survivors include five grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. William was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Diane Saggerson and numerous aunts and uncles. Visitation for Bill will begin at 6 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer 300 E. Boutz Road where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. Family and Friends will join together to celebrate the Holy Mass of Resurrection at 10 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina Street. At Mr. Saggerson's request cremation will take place and inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date in IHM Columbarium with other family members. Serving as casket bearers will be Sean Saggerson, Frank Saggerson, Russell Saggerson, Richard Saggerson, James Aduskevich In lieu of flowers, donations to the are encouraged.
